Just the two of us

A few weeks ago, one of our friends got married. I volunteered to help out and ended up becoming the wedding coordinator. It was a lot of fun....and A TON of work. Not only did I make the bride's bouquet, make their "family tree", help set up the reception, run the rehearsal, I also ran the ceremony and was the "answer" girl during the reception...At 30 weeks pregnant and in 3 inch heels. Sounds like a lot, but I REALLY enjoyed doing it. So here is what I did. For the record, my friend cast the whole vision and pretty much got all the supplies- all I did was put it together. I am proud to say that I got it just like she envisioned, but when you have a beautiful vision and beautiful elements, it's hard to go wrong.

The bouquet. These are persevered flowers, from Save on Crafts. There were 2 dozen of the large roses and 3 dozen spray roses. Not pictured in the bouquet are little crystal jewels.
This was the family tree of the bride and groom, instead of the usual slide show.

Candy Buffet: Mismatched apothecary jars, candles, poetry books, rose petals, chandeliers, and of course CANDY!!

The centerpiece, which consisted of old poetry books (checked out from the library), mismatched etched glass candlesticks and votives.:

Instead of the traditional wedding cake, they had Sprinkles cupcakes that someone drove up from Phoenix. And my oh my, they were YUMMMMMMMMY. And they served it with individual milk containers...which was a must because the cupcakes were so sweet!( we took the leftovers home! A perk for staying till the end to help clean up. We took them to church the next day...of course a few stayed at our home)

First taste of the cupcakes...this one was red velvet!Milk to wash it down!

The Bride and Groom

Me, the baby and the bride
This was at the rehearsal.

At a very nice restaurant in town. One we have wanted to try for years, but it is out of our price range. It was a really fun weekend, it was a lot of work, but so fun. Plus Andrew and I pretty much got two date nights in a row, double bonus! Another bonus is that I was able to snag a few of the decorations to add to my own stash of pretty things.
