Your baby has really plumped up. She weighs about 6.8 pounds and she's over 19 1/2 inches long (like a leek). She has a firm grasp, which you'll soon be able to test when you hold her hand for the first time! Her organs have matured and are ready for life outside the womb.
We are both pretty excited that baby time is about 2 weeks away!!! I like to say that we are patiently impatient. It's great to know that something wonderful is coming any day. We are ready and waiting!
I had another doctor's visit today. Pretty routine. Baby's heartbeat is strong. I haven't had any Braxton hicks or real contractions. My doctor said the baby won't really "drop" until I go into labor. So, we are really just playing the waiting game. I thought my doctor was going out of town this Thursday until Dec 1st, but she actually won't leave until next Tuesday. That's a bit of good news. I go back to the doctor on Monday and actually scheduled another appointment on Dec 3rd (just in case). Once I am at or past my due date, my doctor will do another ultrasound and will then decide when to induce labor. But we are praying that that doesn't have to happen. :-)
I have not been feeling well the past few days. It feels like I am getting a cold. I am not full blown sick, just on that slippery slope of I might be getting sick. No fun!! And my foot still hurts! UGH...that annoys me the most, because the weather has been so beautiful and I really wan to get out and walk. I could, but then my foot would swell up. I have to agree with my X-ray techish sister and say that it is most likely a stress fracture. I am keeping off it when I can and hoping that it gets better on its own.
I really enjoy the website Cool Mom Picks (link is in the sidebar). Every few days they have give-aways of some of the products they feature....and they are usually really nice things. I have entered practically every contest. I have not won a thing! Just venting and hoping that I might win something eventually.
Oh, we saw the James Bond movie. It was good. Great action scenes. We enjoyed it, but also felt that it was somewhat of an incomplete story...like they just used the movie to set up things for the next. But we still really enjoyed it and I would actually like to see it again. I also want to see the Australia movie with Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman. Looks good!!!!
This week I am going to try to get some Christmas shopping done, bake some pumpkin bread, finish my book and keep up with the laundry.
Since the baby's arrival is so close I thought we could do a little poll here on the baby blog. So place your vote next to the date you think our baby will arrive.

Hey Hey Hey..I'm not an X-ray Tech-"ish" sister...there's no "-Ish"..I'm a full-on 100% X-ray Tech..The tech-ish techs are the ones who got their education at the 99 cent store and don't do the real work..I suspect that I work with a couple of those tech-ish techs! HaHa :D Just thought I'd clear that little typo up :D
Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well!! I hope it clears up before it gets worse! Annnd I'm sorry to hear about your foot :( If you came down to visit I could shoot an x-ray on the sly and see what's going on..after the baby is born of course :P

hmmmm so my official title at work is Abby the Magnificent..but since i don't want to seem above the other techs I prefer to just be called an x-ray tech like them..aren't i gracious?? :P

OK, because you voted that I would have a girl..i also threw in my vote that you would have Baby on Thanksgiving :P one week early..see, i'm a nice older sister haha :D
ok my vote is for Nov 22nd, but just b/c that's my wedding anniversary. If you are in accordance with what those so-called "doctor's" think, you'll probably go past your due date. but really....what do they know?
