Caught on Camera:

August's Smile!!!

He started smiling on Mother's Day! It was a great gift.

Sorry the picture is a bit up his nose, but I was at a weird angle, holding August and trying to read Emmy a story while take a picture.

He most often will smile in response to being smiled at. Not all the time, yet, So it's like a little surprise or present whenever he smiles. It is fun to walk into his room to get him up from his nap and be greeted by him smiling up at you.

His next doctor's visit is May 31st. I am anxious to see how much he weighs. He is getting bigger, in weight and length, I just don't know by how much. He is still eating about every 3 hours and giving us a bit longer stretches at night (4-5).

This picture was taken within the first few days he was born.
Isn't he precious?! We have most often described him as sweet. Not that I can fully explain why, he just has a very sweet face and when he looks at you with his little eyes, the look he gives is just sweet.
ah! LOVE HIM!!

Life with 2 kids is great! I won't lie, it's also really hard....at least in this stage. The last few weeks, I have felt worn out, exhausted, run ragged and just trying to keep my head above water. Most days, I am like a ping pong ball bouncing between taking care of both kids...one goes down for a nap, the other gets up, one needs to eat, right when the other just finished, one needs a diaper change while the other wants to read a book, etc, plus trying to get meals ready, laundry done, etc. Things just don't happen as often or as quickly as they used to. Even as difficult as it is, at the end of the day, I love my husband and my kids and think I have the best job EVER!!! All that to say, thanks to everyone for being patient with us as we try to figure out our new family, new normal and a new balance in life.

And the boy cries....I'm off!
