Father's Day

For Father's Day we went to play disc golf with one of our favorite families here in town. We love the Mayrand family!!! Mark had never played before and wanted to go for Father's Day and they asked Andrew (and myself and Emmy) to come along. It was a great day. We went to eat at a Mexican restaurant afterwords....YUMMY. ( for my Texan friends reading this, don't worry, Gringos is still my favorite and NOTHING will ever replace them...or even come close in taste or quality)
It was a really great day!

And here are the proud fathers!

And of course, Emaline got her turn to throw the disc. Her form is pretty good, but she had a hard time actually throwing the disc. Her favorite part was collecting our putters and putting them in the basket.

THE GIRLS! I love these girls. We have a monthly book club together and we try to get together to play Euchre every so often. Maureen is our personal hair stylist and Emmy's pedicurist. Meredith is my fellow gardener and hiker.

Sunday was also the start of the Schulz Fire. The next set of pictures is what we saw when we went to play disc golf....no lives or houses were lost. The fire is under control somewhat and they have begun to pull out some firefighters. The link is to an article from today's paper, so all the latest info is at that link as well as the stats of the fire. And the good news is that our beloved Inner Basin, home to our favorite trail Lockett Meadow ( see pictures from previous post, we hiked it over Memorial Day) was spared!!!

Oh, and as my public service announcement for the day: If you are going camping, make sure you know how to put out a campfire....or this may happen.

******I am blogging several posts today, so be sure to scroll down to see all of them*********
