Aint No Hollaback Girl...

THIS BABY IS BANANAS, B-A-N-A-N-A-S.

WEEK 21- The week of the banana
Baby gulps down several ounces of amniotic fluid every day, both for hydration and nutrition and to practice swallowing and digesting. And, these days, those taste buds actually work! Studies show that after birth, babies are most interested in tastes they've already experienced through amniotic fluid. Meaning, think about what you want your future child to eat as you prepare your own lunch.

So, I promise that new pictures are coming soon. We have been super busy and haven't had a chance to upload any pictures yet. I would say by at least next week I should have them up.

Andrew leaves for Mexico on Friday. He is going with our church to build a house in partnership with Amore Ministries. He will be back next Thursday, so I will have a TON of time on my hands. Not to say that I don't have enough projects to complete that I ought to get done....we'll see if that happens.

I had a doctor's appointment this morning. Everything is going well. I am right on target with my weight gain. Most of my clothes, except my jeans/pants, still fit. Good thing it is summer and I can live in all my flowy skirts and dresses. I love it. So at 21 weeks, I am only wearing maternity pants every now and then. Still pretty hungry. I have to carry snacks with me because once I get hungry, it's like I need to eat RIGHT then or I am going to pass out. I just went to the Farmer's Market and got tons of fruit to snack on. Let's see if they last me to weekend. :-) Energy levels fluctuate day to day.

I was trying to think of another trivia question since the last one had such a great response... Here goes 5 million points to the person with the correct answer with 2 billion bonus points for the name of the co-author for the song: Gwen Stefani wrote Hollaback Girl in response to who's comment that Gwen was a "cheerleader"?

Oh and right after I published this post I am most certain I felt the baby move. I have thought I have felt it a few times....this time no doubt. Pretty cool.

Hey Meg....ok I just read your registry on Babies R Us....and I wanted to share a couple of things. Two of the products you registered for I had and did not care for at all. First: the bottle brush. I think I use that one to scrub my toilets now- hated it....it was really hard to scrub the bottle nipple with it. I recommend the First Years Double Scrubber bottle brush- way better. Second is the activity mat. Me and a friend of mine swear we are getting a different one for the next baby. The toys hang way too low and hit the baby in the face...really annoying- and I registered for it b/c it got Great reviews! grrr. Also, invest in zip up onesies- buttoning up long onesies at 2:00am is a nightmare. Well theres my two cents, do with it what you will. :)
