(We transferred a lot of pictures to the external hardrive, so I don't have too many pictures, but these are the most recent)
Emaline is growing up so fast!! In a few months she will be 4!! Crazy! She loves Cinderella, Tinkerbell, dancing around, hiding toys from August, helping with anything, painting and reading.
She either wears her Cinderella dress (best quarter I ever spent) or her undies.....every day. Unless we go out( and even then, I've let her wear her princess dress), that is what she wants to wear. I don't fight it, saves on laundry.
She has warmed up to the idea of having a brother...only about 16 months after he arrived. Better late than never. She is a great helper. She gets his sippy for him, finds his bear for bedtimes and as of late, she likes to give him his eggs for breakfast. And they have learned to play together as well. It doesn't always end well, but they do get along more than they don't.
This is one of Emaline's craft time activities. A tray of baking soda, colored vinegar and a medicine dropper. We call it "Making Fizzies". She could do this all by herself and LOVED it. I ran out of vinegar or she could have done this for hours! It is a great activity to get her started on while August is up, so I can chase after him for a bit....or if I am getting dinner ready.
We've been chatting with her about the new baby. She is certain she is going to have a baby sister. I've been trying to let her know that we don't know if it will be a boy or girl, but it could be a sister or a brother. We'll see if it registers.
On our recent trip to our church's lodge in Lakeside, AZ we all went on a little hike. It as about a mile long. It was a ton of fun. Emaline enjoyed looking at all the flowers, but her favorite was throwing things in the little river. We passed over several small bridges, so she had a lot of opportunities to hunt for things to throw in.
We also made a cake. She picked it out at the store, confetti cake. Her favorite part was putting the sprinkles on...
She was really good at dumping the sprinkles.....all in the same spot. And yes, this was her piece!

Sleeping beauty.
She also been super affectionate and cuddly. She will come up out of the blue and give hugs and kisses and tell us she loves us. Her latest phrase she says multiple times in a day, "Mom, you remember, I'll always be your little princess?" Such a precious little girl.
We've had a lot of rain the last few weeks. (this pic is from July 4th) And of course, if we are able to, we let the kids go outside to play in it.
You may remember August's picture of the basket on his head. Whereas Emmy does teach August a LOT of things, I am pretty sure she picked this little habit from him.
And our cute little calf from a few months ago. On our way to get a free lunch at Chik- fi- la.
We get asked a lot if Emmy is going to go to Pre-School. We thought about it a ton and decided against it this year. But we are going to enroll her in a few classes at the library this semester. I think her first class will be ballet/tap. *** Correction: Emaline is a few months too young to be in the ballet/tap class. So instead she is gonna be in a once a week/4 week Acrobatic class, (cartwheels, somersaults, etc).*** It's only once a week from mid-Sept to early Nov. It will be good for her to interact with others and learn to listen and obey a teacher. And I am going to try to do a few structured mornings where we will be working on letters/sounds, sight words and writing. Nothing too formal, just a few activities to add order to our day.
Love this girl!
