Thanksgiving in California with the Great Grand Aunt and Uncle

We had a wonderful time in California over Thanksgiving this year. It is our 3rd year to join my Grand Aunt Margy and Grand Uncle Brandt for Thanksgiving. (Uncle Brandt did some research on official titles and, while we had been calling them Great, really they are Grand! However, they are Emmy and August's Great Grand Aunt and Uncle.)

Spending time in California with Aunt & Uncle has quickly become one of our favorite adventures and holiday traditions.

Emaline helping me make crescent rolls before we left.

She is a great little baker. A little bit of dough kept her busy the entire time I was in the kitchen.

Great Grand Auntie getting to know Great Grand Nephew

They quickly became buds and I fear that August told her all my secrets....

Everyone got assigned a job....Emmy stirred the stuffing.

August was doing pull ups on the bottom rungs....no joke

Love that little boy!

Turkey!!!! :-)

Andrew got the job of peeling and mashing potatoes.

The one making it all happen...

That's more like it!

The Feast

Walking the dog with the neighbors....Emmy LOVED LOVED LOVED walking the dog.
She was able to hold the leash all by herself, mainly because he wouldn't run away if she dropped it.

August crawled up a step for the first time....the beginning of a very busy little boy.

Emmy and Emily

Sharing more of my secrets...

Ok, Coca-Cola....how much will you pay us to use this for your ads?

Emmy LOVED the pantry. She had a sixth sense for when anyone opened the door and would come running.

Eye Glasses

In the pantry again.

Made a detour to meet the newest little one in the family....Niece Katherine Grace Diane
arrived the day before Thanksgiving.

She's a cutie!

Thanks Aunt Margy and Uncle Brandt! We had such an amazing, restful and fun time. Love you much!!!
