August Wesley Allen was born on March 29, 2011 at 3:09 PM. He weighed 7 lbs 10 oz and was 19.5 inches long. It was a long day, but ended in a very easy delivery and a beautifully perfect baby boy!
I am feeling pretty good. I have recovered MUCH faster than with Emaline. Of course I am tired, but otherwise, I am doing great.

One of the most common questions we get asked is about his name. I had heard the name August a few years ago on a blog I read and then it came up again while I was pregnant. I mentioned it to Andrew and he liked it. It was the first name that Andrew and I both liked. August means Noble, Great, Venerated(revered/respected)
His middle names are family names. Wesley is Andrew's grandpa's middle name. Allen is both of our father's middle names.
August is a GREAT little baby. Besides being just so handsome, he is a great eater and sleeper. He eats about every 2-3 hours and sleeps for the majority of the time in between feedings. He has gone a few nights of going 4 hours between eating. He really only fusses when he wakes up ready to eat and when he gets his diaper changed.
He is just so sweet!!!

Hurray for an update! So glad to see more pics. I'm also so glad to hear the delivery and recovery was easier this time. Thanks for the pics and updates. I'm sure it's hard to find time and energy, but I sure do appreciate it ;).
