Deep in the Heart of Texas

Emaline and I got back from Houston on Sunday night. We had a great time! I am actually surprised that I am getting this on the blog so quickly. I did get most of my return home To Do list done on Monday and Tuesday since Emmy was sick and literally slept the first two days we were home. Most, OK ALL, of these pictures are of Emmy. That's what happens when you are the picture taker. There might be some of me on my next post.

Emaline loved being at Noni and Grandad's house! She followed Grandad around the house, played with his hats, spun on his office chair and played disc golf. She also helped Noni water the plants. Every morning she would wake up and ask for Noni. I would send her out of the room and she would run to the backroom to play with Noni.

She also loved Ting, my parent's cat. In the morning and evening Emmy would run to the front door and say Eat, while grabbing the cat food bag. She would "meow" and say Eat until dad helped her go outside to feed Ting. At one point after she had fed the cat, and in between meowing at Ting as she ate, she said YUM!

We went to the Houston Zoo one morning. We had great weather and it was barely crowed! Emaline LOVED it! We went to the petting zoo and Emaline brushed every single goat that was there. Most of them were sleeping and didn't even notice. But she loved it.
Now it's time for Emaline Talks to the Animals.

"Hi Goat, it's nice to see you. I like your beard. My dad had a beard like that a while ago. Say hello to your mother for me."

Before we went inside the zoo we road the train.

La King's on the Strand, Galveston.
We also went to Galveston while I was there. I had not been since Hurricane Ike hit a few years ago and I wanted to see if anything had changed. The portions that we went to (the Seawall and the Strand) all looked the same.

More pictures to come. Oh and a baby update:
I am still feeling pretty good. The pile of clothes that no longer fit is getting bigger. The problem is that my maternity pants are too big still so I am having a hard to finding outfits to wear....maybe I'll just have to wear my yoga pants the duration of the pregnancy. I think that the fact that week 15 is the navel orange is pretty funny, since I am really into eating oranges and drinking OJ this week. The next Dr. appointment is next Tuesday. We won't be able to find out the gender until sometime in November....not sure what date that appointment will land on. We will be finding out the gender, but will most likely keep the name a surprise until the birth.

Continuing the march towards normal proportions, baby's legs now out measure the arms. And, finally, all four limbs have functional joints. Your fetus is squirming and wiggling like crazy down in the womb, though you probably still can't feel the movements.
