Emaline eating strawberries...really it would be more accurate to say swallowing them. She LOVES strawberries!!
Emaline reached the 16 month marker. It is weird to think that she is almost 1 1/2 years old. CRAZY! Time goes by so fast.
Emaline has recently learned:~ How to slide backwards down the stairs. She knows that she must turn around and go feet first, so she usually turns around a good 5 - 10 feet before the first step and scoots backward until she reaches the stairs. SO CUTE!!
~That a lion goes ROAR, a dog goes WOOF WOOF, a bird goes TWEET, TWEET, a bunny wiggles their nose, and elephant trumpets while raising your hand in the air ( to symbolize the trunk) and a cat MEOWS
~ She signs Please, which looks more like she is playing the harp or brushing dirt off her shirt, and All Done. She knows MORE, but will really just say please if she wants more of whatever she is eating or playing with.
~She says HIYAH! (like karate) and raises her hand in the air as if to karate chop something. This is largely thanks to my mom and the book If You Give a Cat a Cupcake...be forewarned, he will eventually want to take karate lessons...
~ Her two top teeth are also making their way down. They don't really seem to cause her any pain so that is good.
Emaline also loves balloons. She is also very close to saying balloon. I guess in her own way she says it, but well, the average person would not be able to decipher that is what she means.
I really believe that she will start talking very soon. I suspect she is just gathering words right now and pretty soon the floodgate will open and we will be bombarded with a deluge of hilarious baby chatter. Can't wait, I am anxious for her to be able to express herself in a different way.

Man, I'm a bit behind as I've missed several posts. You look fabulous Meg! Just glowing...and such a stick! Emmy just gets cuter by the day. Gosh time sure does fly. So much to always look foward to no matter the age though. I miss you guys and and sending you all virtual hugs!

Oh my goodness she is getting so big! I can't believe it. And she is so smart and learning so much... how exciting! Thanks for sharing! Give her lots of hugs and kisses from us.
