Emaline update @ 15 months :
~ She weighs about 22 pounds
~ She is getting her two front teeth. The left one has broken through and coming in fast. It does not appear to be bothering Emaline
~ She is a total mimic. For instance, Andrew and I often turn her humidifier off and on with our feet. The other day she walked over to it and put her foot on it trying to turn it on before bed. She will also go around to all the cabinet and stair locks and try to lock them if they aren't already. A future calling to the Safety Police...?
~ She will bark if she see or hears a dog, or if asked what dogs say
~She loves to read. Last week we sat for no joke 45 minutes reading. I would read a book, she would climb off my lap, get a new book, ha
~She is very obedient. When she is supposed to sit down on her bottom to eat a snack or is on the couch and then she stands up, all we have to say is "Sit on your bottom" and she will immediately sit down again.
~ I can tell her to "Go upstairs" and she will immediately stop what she is doing and almost run to the stairs
~ She loves bath time. She will also stop whatever she is doing and run to the bathroom if she hears the water running and then try to climb into the tub with all her clothes on.
I thought I would share one of my pet peeves that has only come to light in the midst of motherhood. I call it :
Cheerio Land Mine~ Nothing grates my nerves more than walking anywhere in the house and hearing a slight, yet crisp, CRUNCH under my feet. I don't know why, but I always check to see what I just stepped on, sure enough a Cheerio. Because they one of Emmy's favorite snacks, she eats them often. She can either eat them at the table or on her blanket in the living room. She is pretty good about eating them all, but they either get swatted off the table, or stuck to her pants or socks.....which are then released all over the house like little grenades just waiting to be detonated under our feet. So all you new moms our there....BEWARE THE CHEERIO LAND MINE!!!!!(or of course any other sort of snack your kiddo loves to eat)
And now to one of my tips:
No more lost socks:
Baby socks are super cute and super small, nor are they immune to the dryer thief who loves mismatched socks. Here is a solution to avoid losing socks from the dryer. Keep a mesh bag(like the ones used for delicates ) near or on your child's hamper- when the socks get taken off, but BOTH socks in the bag, zip it up before it goes in the wash and VOILA...no more lost socks. Plus it saves time when having to match them up. You're welcome.
I can't really recall what all is on the video. I know it is long, so I don't expect everyone, but maybe the grandparents, to watch. Stay tuned for Emmy's barking video.
