Crafts and Books

In a little over 50 days I have read 4 books( What's so Amazing About Grace,Life of the Beloved, Way of the Heart and Persuasion), planted/made a garden completed two knitting projects, made a ribbon dispenser, made a knitting needle case holder, made reusable snack bags, organized a huge bin of old photos, reorganized Emaline's toy chest, organized our winter clothes, straightened up the linen closet and started an I Spy Mini Quilt. I LOVE not having TV!!!! Most of these things have been accomplished during Emaline's nap. I highly encourage, challenge, motivate, dare you to turn off, unplug or get rid of your TV and see all the time there is to get stuff done!!! ( and we didn't really watch that much TV to begin with!)

I am still suffering pretty bad from the Crafty Bug that bit me. I am going to make a Tag Blanket and an I Spy Bag for Emaline. Once Emaline gets up from her nap it is off to Saver's(Thrift Shop) to look for fleece blankets that I can repurpose. It's way cheaper than going to the fabric store.

Katie
and I are embarking on a craft/homemade trade! I am very excited about it. She is going to make some hair clips for Emmy and I will be making her( as well as one for myself) This.
( Unless of course, Katie, you would like me make something else. ;-) )

And remember if you would like me to make you one of whatever I am making at the current time and you are making something as well...maybe we can set up a craft trade.(If you're family and about to have a baby, pretty much assume you will most likely be getting one of each, at least the easy baby items)

Now on to what most of my readers really care about: EMALINE!

(I will do a picture post this weekend, I need to upload a TON of pics off the camera, this one is from last weekend via Photo Booth This is a cute little dress her Great Aunt Nancy got her! Thanks Aunt Nancy! We love it)
She is just over 4.5 months! She is getting so big. She has found her feet...Columbus has nothing on her discovery skills! She had her first solid food last Monday: Carrots. She loved them. She also laughed last Saturday. I had her in the vertical in the air(like superman) and kissed her cheek and she just giggled. Of course she hasn't done it since. She loves to stand up and will put all her weight on her feet, we just have to hold her a bit to keep her balanced. Her favorite toys are the little stuffed Peter Rabbit and the Peter Rabbit Snuggle Book( she also likes the long tag on this book, hence me making her a tag blanket) that Dianne Gilbert gave her. She also likes this rattle that lights up when you shake it. She can also make a razzing noise and likes to squeal and talk when playing with her pacifer. She is out of 3 month old clothes and now wearing 3-6 months....some of the items are still a bit big though. And the weather is warming up so Emmy can finally wear some of her cute little warm weather outfits(Tony and Sandy gave her this adorable purple outfit that she will be wearing soon! Thanks Pop Pop and Gandy).

Posts to come:
Pictures and Video of Emaline
Giveaway in the near future
Pictures of Andrew's Disc Golf Adventure to CA

Don't forget to leave a comment. Emaline loves to read all them :-)
I know I already posted this picture, but it's my favorite so I couldn't help myself. Look at her cute little face! My favorite part is her little hands, combined with her cute little face...priceless! Have a good weekend!

Just because you won a Bloggy Award doesn't mean you can slack on the commenting ;) haha

I LOVE that I..I mean..Baby is included in the family crafty give-away. If i were crafty I would send you stuff too..but since I'm not, I'll just brag on all your accomplishments and leave lots of comments...is that a fair trade?? haha

Dianne Gilbert will love hearing that Emmy enjoys the gifts she gave her!
