Baby Dedication

On Sunday, March 15, 2009 we had a baby dedication service for Emaline.


The Life verse we chose for Emaline and is our prayer for her life.

¹⁷But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. ¹⁸And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. James 3:17-18 (English Standard Version)

Here is what we dedicated ourselves to:
Commitment of the Johnsons:Will you pursue an authentic relationship with Jesus in plain sight of your child? Will you be honest with her about the joys and the difficulties of following Jesus, so she may see the truest expression of faith? Will you seek guidance in raising your child…both from Scripture and from your church family? And will you ask for help as you need it?

And the response from our community/church:
Commitment of The Refuge:Will we commit to providing a loving, nurturing community of faith for this family, that provides support, encouragement, and accountability? Will we commit to supporting them in prayer and deeds? Will we commit to embracing this family as our family, willing to serve them and sacrifice for them whatever their needs may be?

Emmy NEWS: She has been rolling over more often. It tends to happen in 3s. Three times in a row this morning. She had her first dog kiss and did not like it one bit. My boss' dog gave her a big wet one! Wish I had the camera...it was so cute.
