It's been a while since my last post. My hours, minutes and seconds have been reclaimed my a sweet little girl named, Emaline. But we are learning how to readjust and figure out what our new normal looks like.
I went back to work last week. My boss called me and was absolutely swamped with orders. It was nice to get out of the house and get a change of scenery. It has taken me a full week to dig the office out from under paperwork and new orders. Emaline has done well at work. She has her portable crib she sleeps in and hangs out with me in the office during wake time. So that's been a new experience.
What's new with Emmy: She smiles more often and in response to our smiles. She actually smiled at herself in the mirror yesterday...it was really cute. She has increased her head control and will turn her head in response to noise or our voices. She has been sleeping pretty well. Last night she had a 6 hour stretch of sleep....to which we are thankful.

I saw Bride Wars last week. It is such a cute movie. I love Kate Hudson and Ann Hathaway. It is definitely a chick flick, but I think that guys would also find it funny. Besides it being a cute movie, the overall "message" I took away from the movie was that a soft answer does turn away wrath. There's a point in the movie where Ann's character says "I'm Done!" and that was all it took for them to stop fighting. It definitely was a good reminder that sometimes being the bigger person, saying your sorry first, or giving up your desires for the desires of someone else can really save/prevent a lot of heartache and trouble.
We have had Emmy in cloth diapers for a while now. It's going well. I don't really see it as any more difficult than using disposables. We went with the Bum Genius and are really pleased with our decision. They seem to fit better and are designed better than some of the other diapers we tried. So, yeah, we are glad with our choice to cloth diaper Emmy... I don't feel like we are literally throwing money in the trash.

The Jesus Storybook Bible!!! We love love love this Bible. We read to Emmy each night before she goes to bed. I would HIGHLY recommend this book!
We also love this book that Aunt Cindy gave us. The illustrations are absolutely beautiful! It is Classic Fairy Tales illustrated by Scott Gustafson.So, yeah, that's about it. Now I have to determine what needs to be done while Emmy is sleeping. I need to straighten our bedroom, mop/vacuum the floors, clean the bathrooms, empty the dishwasher/reload the dishwasher, do laundry, write a few thank you cards, make a few phone calls.....What's on your to do list?

hey did you guys have any problems w/ poop leaking out of your CPF's?...I'm not sure if our diaper covers are too big and causing leakage or if I'm not fastening the CPF correctly. It seems like no matter how many times I snappi the prefold...it still gapes at the thighs...do yours? How do you get the prefold snug?...I'm not sure what else to try besides different covers but if the prefolds the problem...new covers won't help! Everyone I've researched seems to love prefolds...help!
