What's new....

So Emaline had her two week doctor's visit on Monday. She is almost back to her birth weight...she was just a few ounces short. But the doctor said her rate of weight gain was good, so no worries. She is still a peeing and pooping machine. Oh and her umbilical cord fell off.

"So what does Emmy like to do during her day?", you might ask. Well, let me tell you.
~ She likes to sleep A LOT! She likes to be swaddled tight in her blanket. She has also been having more "awake" time which is fun.
~ During her "awake" time she likes to play the staring game. I think she wins most of the time. Sometimes she likes to play the staring game with inanimate objects like the wall, the lamp or just space. We have also been having tummy time to strengthen all her cute little muscles.
~ And of course she eats, but I haven't decided if she likes to sleep more than she likes to eat.
~ When she sleeps she likes to make really funny faces.
~ She has also been wearing her cool cloth diapers and likes them!
~ She tried out her bouncy seat this week as well. Not sure if she was super crazy about it, but we will give it another go.
~ Her best "trick" is pooping or peeing right after she has been all cleaned up from her previous poop or pee. The second poop/pee usually happens before her new diaper is on. If it's pee it usually soaks whatever shirt/onesie she is wearing. I guess it's her way of asking for a wardrobe change.
~ And of course she loves to be held and cuddled.

And here are some pictures of some of the things mentioned above. Enjoy.

Tummy time. We have family tummy time every night before she goes to bed. It's really fun.

Chillin' in the bouncy seat.

Cuddle Time with Mom and Dad. Isn't she cute?

To answer your question: Yes, she's oh so very cute!

And have you tried having the new diaper under the dirty one before you start changing her to try to catch any new pee and poop? She might be too "powerful" for such a trick, but you never know!

Oh and Merry Christmas! We miss you guys!
